2017's NFL MVP (Tom Brady) earned a hard-fought victory over 2018's likely MVP (Patrick Mahomes) in the AFC title game Sunday.
Although Mahomes failed to top his outstanding season off with a trip to the Super Bowl, the second-year Chiefs quarterback's accomplishments still should be respected and celebrated. After the dust settled from the showdown at Arrowhead Stadium, Brady pulled Mahomes aside for a chat.
It's clear Brady was impressed from what he saw from Mahomes not only on Sunday, but all season long. The 23-year-old signal caller threw a league-leading 50 touchdown passes to go along with 5,097 yards through the air during the regular season.
Unfortunately, we don't yet know what was said in the conversation between the two QBs. What we do know is Mahomes appears to have many years of greatness ahead, and it's safe to assume Brady passed that sentiment along.
