When Adam Vinatieri became the NFL's all-time leading scorer Sunday, the Colts quickly put out a congratulatory video on Twitter. And in the midst of legandary Indianapolis players -- Peyton Manning, Reggie Wayne, Robert Mathis -- lauding Vinatieri for becoming No. 1, there was one very familiar face:

"Hey Adam. congratulations on the NFL scoring record," he said. "What an incredible accomplishment. Yoiu deserve it. You made the biggest kicks in the biggest games and I loved playing with you. And I'm always cheering for you, except when you're playing against the Patriots. But I love you, man. Congrats."
Vinatieri broke the record on a 25-yard field goal with 26 seconds left in the first half of Indianapolis' game against the Oakland Raiders. That increased his total to 2,547 points, three more than Morten Andersen. He entered Sunday trailing Andersen's mark by four points and pulled even with an extra point and a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter.
Vinatieri scored 1,156 of those points in New England, and it's as a Patriot that he's remembered for his most famous accomplishments: His two Super Bowl-winning field goals, his 45-yard field goal in a snow storm that may have kickstarted (pun intended) the New England dynasty -- occurred in a Patriots uniform. But now, in his 13th season in Indianapolis, he's got one as a Colt.
