This insane Tom Brady stat shows his dominance in Super Bowls

Now that he's en route to his ninth Super Bowl, no stat about Tom Brady's career can blow the minds of football fans. We've probably already seen or heard them all in some way, shape or form.

Except, perhaps, for this one stat that quantifies Brady's overall impact on the Super Bowl as an event.

Pro Football Talk went down the rabbit hole and took a look at the Super Bowl record book. They found that Brady's name appears a staggering 17 times throughout. All before he plays his ninth Super Bowl next Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta.

In his eight previous trips, Brady became the sole holder of many Super Bowl records, including most appearances, most passes completed (235) and most career touchdown passes (18), to name a few. He also owns the two top spots for most passing yards in a Super Bowl for his performances in Super Bowl 51 (466) and 52 (505).

Brady stats can sometimes be overblown, but future fans won't even be able to open the Super Bowl record book without constantly coming across his name.

Come next Sunday, Brady will have a chance to scatter his name even more frequently across the record books. It's up to the Rams to do something about it.
