Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady just retired after 22 NFL seasons, and despite his impressive longevity, his No. 12 jersey was always among the top sellers.

The last 12 months were no different.

The Action Network reporter Darren Rovell tweeted Monday a pretty cool graphic that highlights each state's top-selling NFL jersey and top-selling team from Lids over the last year.

Here's a recap of the top-selling player in each New England state. One of these is a bit of a surprise.

  • Massachusetts: Mac Jones, QB, Patriots
  • Vermont: Mac Jones, QB, Patriots
  • New Hampshire: Tom Brady, QB, Buccaneers
  • Rhode Island: Tom Brady, QB, Buccaneers
  • Connecticut: Tom Brady, QB, Buccaneers
  • Maine: Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens must have a decent amount of fans in Maine.

Brady was the top-selling jersey in 17 states -- by far the most of any player. The Buccaneers were the top-selling team in eight states. It'll be interesting to see how Bucs merchandise fares over the next year with Brady no longer player. He lifted that franchise from the bottom tier of the NFL to winning Super Bowl LV during the 2020 campaign -- his first season in Tampa Bay.

Brady sales in New England should continue to be strong for many, many years as new generations learn about his extraordinary career with the Patriots, one that includes six Super Bowl titles and a bunch of league/team records.
