Super Bowl LIII predictions: Reggie Bush picks Patriots blowout over Rams

Oddsmakers have pegged the New England Patriots as 3-point favorites in Super Bowl LIII against the Los Angeles Rams, but one former NFL player sees this game turning into a blowout.

Former NFL running back Reggie Bush, who now works for NFL Network, sees the Patriots winning this game by two or three touchdowns.

It's certainly a bold prediction, especially when you consider how close the score has been in all eight of the Tom Brady/Bill Belichick Super Bowls.

The largest margin of victory in a Super Bowl involving the Patriots since 2000 is eight points, and that was Super Bowl LII last season when the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Pats 41-33. The Patriots' largest margin of victory was a 34-28 overtime win in Super Bowl LI. Their previous six Super Bowl appearances all were decided by four or three points.

Still, it's hard to bet against the Patriots given how well they played in their first two playoff games. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady is playing much better than he did in the regular season, the offensive line has yet to give up a sack in the postseason, and the run game is crushing opponents. All the ingredients are there for a Patriots win in Super Bowl LIII, but we wouldn't bet on it being a three-touchdown victory.
