Rob Gronkowski turns down Shaq's weekend bash

Rob Gronkowski usually isn't one to turn down a party, but the Patriots tight end had to make an exception this week.

During Super Bowl LIII Opening Night on Monday, Gronkowski said he'd be attending Shaquille O'Neal's party at The Battery in Atlanta on Friday night.

“Tell him I’ll be there, baby,’’ Gronkowski had said. “I’ll bet he’ll get a little crazy, a little excited.’’

But on Thursday, Gronkowski remembered the Patriots have a fairly important game this weekend.

“All the hard work we’ve put in, the dedication, I mean, why blow it by trying to go out and do something, like, you know?’’ Gronkowski said. “It’s just one more week of all the hard work and dedication.’’

One can only imagine just how difficult it was of a decision for Gronk to make, but we'd say he made the right one.
