Pro Football Hall of Fame induction is the highest individual honor an NFL player can receive, and 13 players are very close to earning that distinction.
Former New England Patriots cornerback Ty Law is among the modern-era finalists for the 2019 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. He is joined by former teammate and Patriots defensive lineman Richard Seymour.
Law had many memorable moments in his career, but the one that comes to mind above all others is his pick-6 against St. Louis Rams quarterback Kurt Warner in Super Bowl XXXVI. That score helped propel the Patriots to their first Super Bowl win in franchise history. It was one of three Super Bowl titles Law won in New England.
Seymour was a seven-time Pro Bowler, a three-time Super Bowl champion and a member of the 2000s All-Decade team.
Here are the modern-era finalists for the 2019 class announced Thursday.
