Patriots WR Julian Edelman gives special birthday shoutout to McCourty twins

New England Patriots defensive backs and twin brothers Devin and Jason McCourty are celebrating their 32nd birthdays Tuesday, and they received a special shoutout on Twitter from teammate Julian Edelman.

The Patriots wide receiver, who has not practiced in training camp or played in the preseason due to a left thumb injury, tweeted a nice message to the McCourty twins. It includes a short highlight video of their time in New England. Check it out in the tweet below:

The Patriots also huddled up after Tuesday's training camp practice at Gillette Stadium and sang happy birthday to the McCourty twins.

Devin has spent nearly a decade with the Patriots after the team selected him in the first round of 2010 draft. Jason was acquired via trade from the Cleveland Browns before last season. Together, they helped the Patriots win Super Bowl LIII over the Los Angeles Rams back in February. In fact, they are the only twins ever to win a Super Bowl together.

The McCourty twins are on the back nine of their pro careers, but they're still very effective players for a Patriots secondary that Pro Football Focus recently ranked as the fifth-best unit in the NFL.
