The New England Patriots and New York Giants will conclude their 2019 NFL preseason schedule Thursday night at Gillette Stadium.
It's an important night for players on the roster bubble. There's likely a few spots still to be won on both rosters, and a strong performance in the preseason finale could be enough to earn a coveted spot on the final 53-man roster. All 32 teams must submit their final 53-man roster to the league by Saturday's deadline at 4 p.m. ET.
The fourth preseason game usually doesn't feature too many (if any) starters, so don't expect to see Patriots quarterback Tom Brady or Giants running back Saquon Barkley on the field Thursday night. Brady played three series last week in what should be his only game action of the preseason.
There were 10 players on the Patriots, excluding specialists, who played in last season's fourth preseason game and won a job on the 53-man roster entering Week 1.
