With NFL wideouts being the size they are, it makes sense that the Patriots went Biggers at cornerback today.
Sorry. Anyway, the Patriots have signed corner E.J. Biggers. The news was first reported by Ben Volin of the Boston Globe.
The 28-year-old Biggers has played for the Bucs, Redskins and Eagles. A 6-foot, 185-pounder, Biggers signed a one-year deal according to Volin. He hasn't threatened the Pro Bowl roster yet. But he had a pretty solid season as a versatile nickel/outside corner with the Eagles.
He'll come in as a depth guy fighting for a spot but at least he comes in having played some of the best football of a fairly pedestrian career.
