Patriots select Auburn QB Jarrett Stidham with 133rd pick

With the 133rd pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

Stidham (6-3) was a two-year starter for the Tigers after transferring from Baylor. In his final season with Auburn, Stidham completed 60.7 percent of his passes with 2,794 yards, 18 touchdowns, and just five interceptions. He posted similar numbers in 2017 and was named the SEC newcomer of the year in his first year at Auburn.

Stidham joins the Patriots' quarterback depth chart that features Tom Brady, Brian Hoyer, and Danny Etling. Stidham could be the heir apparent to Brady.

Phil Perry listed Stidham as one of his prototypical Patriots at the quarterback position. Click here to see what Perry had to say about the Auburn quarterback.
