Patriots Report Card: Backs pick up receiving slack against Redskins

The oddsmakers predicted a New England blowout in Washington Sunday, and after a sluggish start, the Patriots woke up and delivered an easy victory.

Once again, the defense turned in a commanding performance, while the offense put up 30+ points for the fourth time in five games.

With the receiving corps dealing with an assortment of injuries and playing at less than full strength, New England needed its running backs and tight ends to step up — and that's just what they did.

Without further ado, let's hand out some grades for the Pats' 33-7 drubbing of the 'Skins.
