Patriots, Rams make their case for Anthony Davis to join Celtics, Lakers

As the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics emerge as two likely contenders for the Anthony Davis sweepstakes brewing after Monday's blockbuster report that the coveted NBA superstar is requesting a trade out of New Orleans, several New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams players made their case for The Brow to come play in their town at Monday night's Super Bowl First Night festitivies at State Farm Arena.

"It’s a great place to play sports," Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore said. "They love their players. They treat their players with a lot of respect. It’s about winning, and they do whatever it takes to win."

Said Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, "It’s the sports town of the country. Tell him to look it up, and he should have a reason why to come."

Rams players made the case both for the Hollywood lights, and the Showtime nostalgia.

"LA for sure," defensive tackle Michael Brockers said. "And that’s just for marketing, to be on TV, you’ll make a lot of money. The Brow is gonna sell a lot more."

Said offensive guard Rodger Saffold, "I would love to see him and LeBron working together. LA deserves that nostalgia back for the Lakers."
