Patriots lead NFL in these categories since Tom Brady turned 40

Father Time is undefeated, but he's having some trouble with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

The veteran QB is 41 years old and preparing to play in his ninth Super Bowl after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in Sunday's AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium.

Most quarterbacks play worse, or even a lot worse, as they approach and/or hit their 40s. Peyton Manning and Brett Favre are two of the best examples. Brady has been the opposite, and the Patriots lead the NFL in several important categories since he turned 40 years old in August of 2017. Check out a list in the tweet below:

The five-time Super Bowl champion, in two age-40 seasons, has tallied a 66.05 completion percentage with 8,932 yards, 61 touchdowns and 19 interceptions.

Brady is the oldest quarterback to start and win a playoff game, and he will soon be the oldest quarterback to start a Super Bowl. Peyton Manning, at 39 years old, became the oldest quarterback to win a Super Bowl when he defeated the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50. Brady will take that record from him if he defeats the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII.
