UPDATE, WEDNESDAY, 2 P.M.: The Patriots have indeed acquired offensive lineman Michael Williams from the Detroit Lions. Bill Belichick talked about him Wednesday (a "big, athletic guy'' - 6-6, 316) and Williams needed some directions after arriving at the Pats' facility.
The Patriots have reportedly added a little more depth to their offensive line.
According to Ben Volin of the Boston Globe, the Patriots have acquired lineman Michael Williams from the Detroit Lions.
Williams joined the Lions organization as a seventh-round draft pick at tight end but made the switch to tackle in 2014.
