NFL Twitter roasts Jets for pathetic first-half performance vs. Patriots

The New York Jets could not have played a worse first half in Monday night's Week 7 matchup with the rival New England Patriots at MetLife Stadium.

The Patriots led off the game with a 16-play touchdown drive that lasted nearly nine minutes, and it was a preview of how the rest of the half would unfold.

The defending Super Bowl champions took a 24-0 lead into halftime by earning a 210-65 advantage in total yards, a 14-6 lead in first downs and a total of three turnovers (one fumble, two interceptions) forced. New York's first-half display arguably was its worst at home versus the Patriots since the infamous butt fumble game on Thanksgiving in 2012.

Here's some of the best Twitter reaction to the Jets' awful first-half performance against the Patriots.
