NFL rumors: Patriots to visit with potential first-round pick Kaleb McGary

The New England Patriots figure to be in the mix for an offensive lineman (or two) in the 2019 NFL Draft, so it's not too surprising they are among the many teams expected to work out and/or visit with Washington offensive tackle Kaleb McGary in the near future.

McGary could be a late first-round pick, so it's certainly possible he'll be available when the Patriots are on the clock at No. 32 overall. The Patriots also have two second- and three third-round picks in the 2019 draft.

The former Huskies star is listed at 6-foot-7 and 317 pounds. He played right tackle for Washington in 2018 and was named to the Pac-12 all-conference team.

The Patriots lost offensive tackle Trent Brown to the Oakland Raiders in NFL free agency. Brown's likely replacement, Isaiah Wynn, didn't play as a rookie last season because of a torn Achilles. Beefing up the talent and depth at the tackle spots should be a priority for Bill Belichick in the draft. McGary has the size and talent to be a good fit on New England's offensive line.
