Michael Bennett present for Day 4 of Patriots training camp

According to multiple reports, Michael Bennett has made his New England Patriots training camp debut.

Bennett, acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in an offseason trade, missed the first three Patriots training camp practices. He was excused by the team from those sessions due to "personal reasons." But now, the sack artist will be on the field for his new squad.

It will be interesting to see just how much Bennett is involved early on in camp. After missing a few days, the team could opt to ease him back into action or they could throw him into the fire. Either way, the veteran will help to upgrade the team's depth on the defensive line.

Bennett is expected to help fill in for Trey Flowers, who departed this offseason to sign a lucrative deal with the Detroit Lions. Last season, Flowers led the Patriots with 7.5 sacks. Bennett posted 9.0 sacks with the Eagles in 2018, so he should have a chance to be a suitable replacement.
