Imagine showing up for a home game and seeing more opposing fans than your own. That has to be demoralizing, right?
Julian Edelman seems to agree.
In his interview with WEEI's "The Greg Hill Show" on Tuesday, the Patriots wide receiver admitted he could sense the Washington Redskins were affected by the large contingent of New England fans that descended on FedExField on Sunday.
"They don't say anything, but you can tell," Edelman said. "It's a little defeating for them, you can just feel it. It's a pretty cool thing."
Washington actually scored first but was overmatched from there, as a shockingly pro-Patriots crowd in Landover, Md., enjoyed a 33-7 New England rout.
As much as those fans demoralized Washington, they also gave a boost to the Patriots' players.

"It's legitimately like, it was basically a home game," Edelman added. "It gets you fired up. The circus is in town, and all the Massies gotta come check them out in D.C."
According to Washington president Bruce Allen, you can thank Redskins fans for selling their tickets to those "Massies," but the bottom line is that Allen's 0-5 club isn't worth watching right now.
The 5-0 Patriots, meanwhile, while have actual home-field advantage Thursday night when the New York Giants come to Gillette Stadium.
