Josh Gordon is no longer part of the New England Patriots' pursuit of a sixth Super Bowl championship, but the suspended wide receiver is still keeping tabs on his teammates.
Gordon posted an Instagram story on Sunday congratulating the Patriots for their AFC Divisional Round win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Check out the post in the tweet below.
Gordon was suspended indefinitely by the NFL in December and placed on the reserve/commissioner suspended list for violating the terms of his conditional reinstatement under the Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
Several of the Patriots' offensive players stepped up in Gordon's absence against the Chargers.
Julian Edelman caught nine passes for a team-high 151 yards. Rob Gronkowski tallied only one reception but was an unstoppable force as a blocker in the running game. Rookie running back Sony Michel ran for 129 yards with three touchdowns.
The Patriots will need a similarly impressive offensive performance Sunday to keep pace with the high-scoring Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
