James White and Melvin Gordon were a premier running back tandem at Wisconsin. On Sunday, they'll be battling against one another for a trip to the AFC Conference Championship.
White talked Wednesday about his close relationship with Gordon, who the Patriots running back says is "like a little brother" to him.
"Since he stepped foot on the Wisconsin campus we were always tight," White said. "All the running backs we were. So he's a good football player, a good person. I wish him nothing but the best of luck, but hopefully he doesn't do too much on Sunday."
Limiting Gordon won't be an easy task for the Pats' defense. In 12 games during the regular season, the former Badger rushed 175 times for 885 yards (5 yards per carry) with 10 touchdowns. He also tacked on four receiving touchdowns for good measure.
