FOXBORO -- The Patriots will have second-year defensive lineman Dominique Easley at their disposal Sunday when Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles and his offensive teammates take the field. Easley was inactive last weekend against the Bills due to a hip injury, but he was not among the team's seven inactive players listed as inactive for Week 3.
The full list of Patriots inactives includes running back Travaris Cadet, corner Bradley Fletcher, defensive linemen Trey Flowers and Rufus Johnson, tight end Michael Hoomanawanui, offensive lineman Ryan Wendell and safety Tavon Wilson.
With Fletcher out, Patriots corner Justin Coleman, signed at the end of training camp, could have an opportunity to get some time against the Jaguars big-play attack. Also making his debut for the Patriots will be receiver Keshawn Martin, who was acquired in a trade with the Texans in the days leading up to the Bills game. Martin, who has extensive return experience, could have a chance to return punts against Jacksonville.
Patriots safety Nate Ebner and running back James White are both active after making the inactive list last week. Ebner will once again figure heavily into the Patriots plan on special teams, serving as a core-four member and the personal protector on the punt team.
The Jaguars have several players who were projected as starters before the season still dealing with injuries, and a handful made the inactive list for Sunday. Left tackle Luke Joeckel, tight end Julius Thomas, defensive linemen Andre Branch and Sen'Derrick Marks and safety Johnathan Cyprien are all out. Running back Denard Robinson and corner Dwayne Gratz are also out for Jacksonville.
