Here's why Ray Lewis predicts Vikings will beat Patriots in Week 13

Former Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis beat the New England Patriots twice in the playoffs during his career in Baltimore -- the Denver Broncos and New York Giants are the only other teams that have beaten Tom Brady multiple times in the postseason.

Therefore, Lewis should have a good grasp on what it takes to beat the Patriots, particularly at Gillette Stadium, where both of his playoff wins against New England happened.

Lewis sees the Vikings' running game as the difference ahead of the much-anticipated Week 13 matchup between New England and Minnesota at Gillette.

“…This team, the way they’re built, can go into New England and win," Lewis said during Tuesday's episode of "Inside the NFL" on Showtime. "And one of the biggest pieces why — what they do in their front seven on defense is incredible. But Dalvin Cook. Having Dalvin Cook fresh and running against New England’s defense, I’m going to take the Vikings in this one.”

The Patriots run defense is neither bad nor great. They allow 4.4 yards per carry, which ranks 18th in the league, but they have given up just five rushing touchdowns, which is tied for the second-fewest among all teams. The Vikings' run offense is tallying 3.9 yards per rush, tied for the second-fewest in the league. Minnesota's six rushing touchdowns are tied for the third-fewest total.

Cook has played in just six of the Vikings' 11 games and went over the 100 total yard mark in only one of those matchups.

The Patriots are undefeated at home this season and will be going up against a really good team. The Vikings definitely could beat them, but Cook and the Minnesota rushing attack probably won't be the reasons why.
