Fantasy Football Week 11 starts, sits: What is Mohamed Sanu's ceiling?

Sometimes good things come to those who wait.

Mohamed Sanu was a productive if unspectacular wide receiver through eight games with the Atlanta Falcons and hit a mid-season rough patch that may have caused some to drop him in their fantasy football leagues.

But if you stuck with the 30-year-old wideout, you're about to reap the benefits. Sanu caught 10 passes in his Patriots debut and seems poised to play a key role in New England's offense -- and your fantasy team -- down the stretch.

Which other players are worth slotting into your lineup? We've got you covered with five starts and five sits for Week 11 of NFL action.

START

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, San Francisco 49ers: Jimmy G has been a risky fantasy play this season, but his best game by far (317 passing yards, four touchdowns) came in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals ... who are on the docket again in Week 11. Sign us up.

Talent and fit: Patriots take important step forward with productive draft

53-man roster projection: Monster rookie class invades Patriots locker room

Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals: The Bengals are so committed to tanking that they gave Mixon 30 carries in a blowout loss to the Baltimore Ravens. As long as the "throw from behind" game script doesn't apply in Cincinnati, Mixon should be a fine RB2 play in Oakland.

Damien Williams, RB, Kansas City Chiefs: LeSean McCoy probably will be back in the mix this Sunday after his Week 10 scratch, but Williams has been Kansas City's workhorse over the last two weeks and gets a good matchup versus a Los Angeles Chargers defense that's allowed 15 receptions to running backs over the last two games.

Mohamed Sanu, WR, New England Patriots: Tom Brady is an unabashed Sanu fan, which would explain why he targeted his new weapon 14 times against Baltimore. Add in a juicy matchup -- the Philadelphia Eagles are allowing the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing wideouts this season -- and Sanu is a surefire WR2 with WR1 potential if he can find the end zone.

Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington Redskins: McLaurin hit a bit of a rookie slump entering Washington's bye. But a week to work with signal-caller Dwayne Haskins and a date with the New York Jets' Swiss cheese secondary make the speedy wideout a WR2/3 this week.

SIT

Philip Rivers, QB, Los Angeles Chargers: Rivers has three touchdown passes and three interceptions over his last three games. The Chiefs defense is suspect, but we just don't see much upside with Melvin Gordon seeing 20-plus carries per game.

Ronald Jones II, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Yes, Jones has scored in back-to-back weeks. He's also averaging 3.3 yards per carry in those games and faces a New Orleans Saints defense that hasn't allowed a rushing touchdown since Week 5. Pass.

David Johnson, RB, Arizona Cardinals: We're avoiding all Cardinals running backs for the second straight week in Arizona's brutal road matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Oh, and Johnson scored negative fantasy points last week. Can't have that.

Sammy Watkins, WR, Kansas City Chiefs: Patrick Mahomes' return was not a cure for Watkins' fantasy struggles, as the veteran receiver managed just 39 yards on five catches. The Chargers also haven't allowed double-digit fantasy points to a receiver since Week 7.

Phillip Dorsett, WR, New England Patriots: Tom Brady hasn't completed more than 31 passes in a game this season. Julian Edelman and Sanu could combine for close to 20 completions, and if rookie N'Keal Harry makes his debut, that doesn't leave much of the pie for Dorsett.
