Tom Brady played the role of politician Sunday at FedExField, chatting with several Washington Redskins players after his New England Patriots rolled to a 33-7 win.
And for that, Dwayne Haskins is grateful.
The rookie quarterback, who took a backseat to Colt McCoy on Sunday, sent a "thank you" tweet to Brady on Monday after the Patriots QB spent a few seconds chatting with him Sunday.
Brady, a Michigan alum, and Haskins, a former Ohio State QB, actually had a pretty friendly back-and-forth about their alma maters' fierce rivalry, with Brady admitting that the Buckeyes have had the upper hand lately.
(For the record: "ttun" likely stands for "The Team Up North," which is what many Ohio State players and fans refer to Michigan as rather than saying its name.)
Haskins indeed went 2-0 against the Wolverines during his two seasons in Columbus, as Ohio State has won the last seven meetings between the Big Ten nemeses.
The 22-year-old has yet to find any success at the pro level, though: He appeared in just one game for Washington this season and threw three interceptions on 17 attempts in a loss to the New York Giants.
