Dontrelle Inman to arrive late to Patriots training camp, per report

The New England Patriots reported to Gillette Stadium for training camp Wednesday, but a recent signing reportedly wasn't among them.

Patriots wide receiver Dontrelle Inman hadn't arrived as of Wednesday morning due to personal reasons, ESPN's Field Yates reported.

Inman is expected to be in Foxboro later Wednesday and take the field Thursday for the Patriots' first on-field day of training camp.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick was asked about his team's attendance Wednesday morning but declined to share any details.

"If we have any announcements, we'll make them at the end of the day," Belichick said. "It's pretty early."

Inman signed a one-year contract with New England in May after spending the 2018 season in Indianapolis, where he tallied 304 receiving yards on 28 catches for the Colts.

The 30-year-old will be competing for a roster spot along with fellow receivers N'Keal Harry, Maurice Harris, Braxton Berrios, Damoun Patterson, Ryan Davis, Jakobi Meyers and Gunner Olszewski, all of whom should see more reps at training camp with Julian Edelman sidelined due to a thumb injury and Demaryius Thomas on the physically unable to perform list.
