Did Rob Gronkowski reach out to Tre'Davious White? The answer may surprise you or be exactly what you'd expect

FOXBORO -- He didn’t and he doesn’t want to talk about it.

Hours after Tre’Davious White said on the NFL Network that he never got an apology from Rob Gronkowski for a late hit in Week 13, Gronkowski was all business in his Friday press conference leading up to Sunday's game against the Bills. He only talked about White in terms of what he is as a player (a “good player,” per Gronkowski) and he tried to steer mostly everything else back towards -- paraphrasing here -- being excited to get out there with the boys and play football for the team in the big game for the boys.

“I’ve just been preparing all week, just like any other week. Preparing for a big game on Sunday with the team, with the boys and just going to be ready for a hard-fought battle,” Gronkowski said when asked if he was concerned about the White situation. “Every single time we play the Bills they're always battling hard. They're always mentally tough. They're always physically tough and this will be a big game Sunday. We've just got to keep on preparing. We've got another 48 more hours to go before kickoff so just make sure I'm ready to go.”

White was reported to have said the “whole hood” wanted to go after Gronkowski for the hit, but he’s since walked back those comments and said that he doesn’t feel Gronkowski is a dirty player. Gronkowski wouldn’t bite on that either.

“[I’m] just focusing for the big game Sunday,” he said. “Just preparing like any other week and just preparing as best as I can. It was a good week at practice and [we've] still got 48 more hours to go.”
