By now, every Patriots fan knows how Malcolm Butler became an unlikely hero with his game-saving interception in the Super Bowl.
The chances he'll be an unlikely hero again this year are, well, unlikely.
Without Darrelle Revis, Brandon Browner or Kyle Arrington, Butler will be leaned on as a top corner in the secondary. According to Tom E. Curran, he has the one skill that is an invaluable asset -- his "makeup speed."
"I see him as being a front-line corner. He’s a legitimate, skilled starter it seems at this point," Curran said. "I’m sure he’ll get undressed a time or two, but he has the physical ability, the quickness, the makeup speed. Despite his shorter legs, he seems to have makeup speed."
