Marshawn Lynch might get that goal-line carry against the New England Patriots, after all.
The 34-year-old running back is in discussions with the Seahawks about returning to Seattle for the 2020 season, he told ESPN's Scott Van Pelt on Monday in classic Lynch fashion.
"My agent [Doug Hendrickson] has been in talks with Seattle, so like I said, we'll see what happens," Lynch told Van Pelt, via ESPN.com. "If it works out and I get back up there, it is what it is. And if not, s---, I'm lookin' good. So I ain't really trippin' too much."

Lynch retired after the 2018 season with the Oakland Raiders but returned to the Seahawks for the final week of their 2019 campaign. He scored a rushing touchdown in Week 17 and added three more rushing TDs in Seattle's two playoff games, so he still may have value as a goal-line back behind Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny.
The Patriots are slated to visit Seattle in 2020 (the date will be determined May 7), so if Lynch returns, they could see the running back again this season.
Lynch is 1-5 in six regular-season games against New England, but most fans remember his one playoff loss to the Patriots, which came in Super Bowl XLIX when Russell Wilson threw an interception to Malcolm Butler in the final seconds rather than Seattle handing off to Lynch at the 2-yard line.
Lynch would have a pretty good shot at redemption, as the Patriots might be beatable in a road matchup with Jarrett Stidham replacing Tom Brady at quarterback.
