Chargers vs. Ravens live stream: Watch NFL Week 16 game online

The last time the New England Patriots played in the Wild Card round of the AFC playoffs they were beaten in embarrassing fashion by the Baltimore Ravens in 2009, and it's possible that matchup happens again in January.

The Ravens (8-6) enter Week 16 as the No. 6 seed in the AFC. The Patriots (9-5) are the No. 3 seed, so these teams would play each other on Wild Card Weekend if this seeding held through next Sunday.

Baltimore is on the road to take on the red-hot Los Angeles Chargers at the StubHub Center on Saturday night. The Ravens cannot finish higher than the No. 6 seed if they don't win the AFC North, and they have no room for error in the wild-card chase because the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans also have 8-6 records.

The Patriots, who are one game behind the Houston Texans for the No. 2 seed, host the Buffalo Bills at Gillette Stadium on Sunday. The Pats probably wouldn't mind playing the Ravens in the Wild Card round. Baltimore is led by a rookie quarterback in Lamar Jackson, and Bill Belichick's record against first-year QBs is phenomenal. The Titans already beat the Patriots 34-10 in Week 10, so New England doesn't want to see them again. The Patriots have owned the Colts in recent seasons, but quarterback Andrew luck and a much-improved Indy defense pose a larger threat than the Ravens.

Therefore, Patriots fans are in the unusual spot of rooting for the Ravens to beat the Chargers on Saturday night.
