The New England Patriots have made a living off of getting the most out of other franchise's discarded players.
Last season the Patriots worked out quarterback-turned-wideout Terrelle Pryor when he was released by the Cleveland Browns. The Patriots ended up not signing him, a decision that surprised Pryor.
"I really thought I was going to be a Patriot,'' Pryor told Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com. "I know Bill Belichick really liked me. I had a great workout for them and everything went really well. I really thought he was going to sign me.''
Pryor felt that he had a "phenomenal" workout with the Patriots, but believes the team decided not to sign him over concerns they had with a previous hamstring injury.
Back with the Cleveland Browns in 2016, the 27-year-old burst back onto the scene last week against the Miami Dolphins. He was responsible for 200 of Cleveland's 430 yards (144 receiving, 21 rushing and 35 passing).
