Brady's off-field empire grows via Fanatics, IMG deals


Tom Brady's brand is as strong as ever, and he intends to capitalize on that.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback announced two significant partnerships Wednesday with Fanatics and IMG that will help him stay relevant both on and off the field.

The Fanatics deal is a "long-term memorabilia partnership" that makes the merchandise company the sole distributor of Brady's autographs and memorabilia.

According to The Action Network's Darren Rovell, the deal is worth no small chunk of change, as Brady joins a roster of Fanatics athletes that includes Peyton Manning, Joe Burrow, Aaron Judge and Zion Williamson. 

If that wasn't enough business for one day, Brady and business partner Alex Guerrero also struck a licensing deal with IMG to help grow their TB12 brand.

TB12, which Brady and Guerrero launched in 2013 as a health and wellness company, features an online retail store in addition to physical locations in Boston and several other American cities. IMG will help grow TB12's presence on both fronts.

"We are excited to collaborate with Alex, Tom and the TB12 team on an expanded set of branded nutritional products, fitness equipment, digital innovations and retail partnerships that will introduce their philosophy to new audiences around the world in an accessible and authentic way," IMG president of licensing Bruno Maglione said in a statement, via the Hollywood Reporter.

Patriots fans got a glimpse into Brady's business ventures during his final seasons in New England, but the 43-year-old now is diving headfirst into his off-field enterprises -- all while acclimating to a new club in Tampa Bay.
