Brady takes responsibility for taking some big hits in Buffalo

Tom Brady was sacked four times in Sunday's 41-25 win over the Bills, and he was hit a season-high nine times in Buffalo. In an interview with WEEI's Kirk and Callahan Show on Monday morning, he said he could still feel the effects of some of those shots.

"They were playing kind of a of of guys in pass coverage, which allowed me to hold onto the ball longer than normal," Brady said. "When you do that and you're just trying to find guys to get open . . . I don't really throw it away early, I would say, so I kind of just wait until the last minute and they got a few good licks on me.

"That's football. Just part of the season, and good to kind of take those hits and deal with the bumps and bruises because I think your body kind of calluses up to those hits. But yeah, it's definitely a little more sore today than I've been."

Despite picking up a few extra black and blues, Brady completed 22 of 33 passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns. He now has thrown for 1,319 yards and 12 touchdowns in four games since coming back from his four-game suspension to start the season.
