FOXBORO -- Even the NFL offices considered Tom Brady's performance in his first game back off of his suspension to be pretty impressive.

The Patriots quarterback was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week after completing 28-of-40 passes for 406 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-13 win over the Browns. It was the eighth time in his career that he surpassed 400 yards passing and the 26th time in his career that he's received the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award. He now trails Peyton Manning (27) for most Player of the Week honors in NFL history.

It is the fourth time this season that a Patriots player has earned an NFL honor award. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after knocking down a game-winning kick in Week 1, and punter Ryan Allen was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his big night against Houston in Week 3. Running back LeGarrette Blount was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.
