Bill Belichick: ‘Phone will be ringing off the hook' after Rob Gronkowski announcement

All eyes will be on Rob Gronkowski's Instagram account Tuesday at 9 a.m. as he makes his much-anticipated "big announcement." Football-related or not, all of New England will be monitoring social media to see what the retired Patriots tight end has in store.

Well, most of New England. Since social media isn't exactly Bill Belichick's forte, he probably won't be hearing Gronk's announcement via "InstaChat" or "SnapFace."

The Pats head coach was asked Monday on WEEI's "Ordway, Merloni & Fauria" whether he'll be keeping tabs on social media for Gronkowski's announcement, and he had the perfect response.

"I'm sure my phone will be ringing off the hook, all the alerts I have on it," Belichick jokingly told WEEI. "I'm sure it will be going crazy."

Either Belichick expects Gronk's announcement to be a big one, or he just finds joy in joking about his lack of social media usage. Considering his candid comments about social media after Myles Garrett's helmet fiasco, we believe the latter to be more likely.

That's all he had to say about a potential Gronk return, then he switched back to vintage Belichick.
