Alabama vs. LSU: Best 2020 NFL Draft prospects Patriots fans should watch

The top two teams in college football will square off Saturday afternoon when No. 1 LSU visits No. 2 Alabama in the most-anticipated matchup of the 2019 season.

Football fans have been waiting for this SEC matchup for a long time, and so have NFL teams.

The Tigers and Crimson Tide have many players on both sides of the ball who will be playing on Sundays in 2020. Four or five of these players, including both starting quarterbacks, could go in the top 15 of the 2020 NFL Draft. LSU quarterback Joe Burrow is the Heisman Trophy frontrunner and projected No. 1 pick in many mock drafts entering this weekend.

Alabama had 56 players on NFL rosters entering Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season, the most of any school. LSU ranked tied for fifth with 32 players. The SEC had the most of any conference with 339 players.

The New England Patriots certainly will be paying attention to this Alabama vs. LSU showdown, especially with the defending Super Bowl champions on a Week 10 bye.

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has drafted 29 players from the SEC this decade, including five from Alabama and two from LSU. Belichick also has a very good relationship with Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban, who has won five national titles with Alabama.
