Alabama vs. Georgia live stream: Watch SEC Championship Game online

Top-ranked Alabama takes on No. 4 Georgia in the SEC Championship Game on Saturday afternoon in a matchup that will have huge implications on the final 2018 College Football Playoff rankings.

The defending national champion Crimson Tide are undefeated and own the top spot in the latest CFP rankings. Even if Alabama loses to Georgia, it still probably secures a top-four ranking and a CFP berth. The Bulldogs can only hold on to their No. 4 position in the CFP standings if they upset the Crimson Tide and defend their SEC title.

New England Patriots fans should play close attention to this game. Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has selected 14 players from the SEC over the last five NFL drafts, including four last season. Both of New England's first-round picks in 2018 came from Georgia  -- offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn (No. 23) and running back Sony Michel (No. 31). The Patriots also have found quality players from these schools in previous drafts, including former Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower (No. 25 in 2012) and former Georgia wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell (No. 112 in 2016). Both Hightower and Mitchell played important roles in the Patriots winning Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons.

And, of course, Belichick and Alabama head coach Nick Saban know each other very well. They worked together on the Browns coaching staff in the 1990s and Belichick has attended Alabama pro days. It's very possible one of the Patriots' 2019 draft picks will play in Saturday's showdown in Atlanta.
