The Jets have their new head coach, and it's someone they've grown quite familiar with over the last three seasons.
Adam Gase, who spent 2016-18 as Dolphins head coach before being fired on Dec. 31, will replace Todd Bowles in New York.
Gase finished his tenure in Miami with a 23-25 regular season record. Against the Patriots, Gase's Dolphins were 2-4.
The Jets' hiring of Gase marks the first time the team has hired a head coach with prior NFL head-coaching experience since Bill Parcells in 1997. It's New York's first offensive-minded head coach since Rich Kotite (1995).
