San Francisco 49ers legend Roger Craig has weighed in on the GOAT debate, and his answer might surprise you.
The former All-Pro running back had a brilliant eight-year career with the 49ers before playing his final three seasons with the Los Angeles Raiders and Minnesota Vikings. He won three Super Bowl titles alongside legendary 49ers quarterback Joe Montana, who many people still believe ranks as the greatest QB in NFL history.

Well, Craig is going in a different direction. Here's what he told ESPN's Jeremy Schaap about former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.
Brady's résumé speaks for itself.
It features many league records, including six Super Bowl wins, nine Super Bowl appearances, four Super Bowl MVP awards, the most playoff wins, the most playoff touchdowns, the most playoff passing yards and much more. His stats should only improve given the fact he could still play another two or three years (perhaps more).

Craig's comments also carry a decent amount of weight considering he had a front row seat to Montana's greatness. Montana went 4-0 in Super Bowls with three Super Bowl MVP awards.
The GOAT debate is a fun one, and it's unlikely to lessen in intensity anytime soon. Right now, however, it's tough to make a case that doesn't involve Brady being ranked No. 1.
