The New England Patriots' position in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft worsened Sunday when they beat the Los Angeles Chargers in the AFC Divisional Round, but that's certainly a trade Bill Belichick will take every time.
The Patriots will be among the last four teams to pick in Round 1 as a result of being one of the conference finalists. New England will travel to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
In fact, one of the reasons why the Pats remain in the playoffs is the performance of 2018 first-round draft pick Sony Michel. The former University of Georgia running back ran for 129 yards and scored three touchdowns in New England's win over Los Angeles.
