The free-agent dominoes have started to fall, it appears.
Free agent outfielder Torii Hunter has reached agreement on a two-year, 26 million deal with the Detroit Tigers, according to ESPN.
Hunter, 37, is a .277 hitter with 297 home runs and nine Gold Gloves in 14 seasons with the Minnesota Twins and Los Angeles Angels. He hit .313 with 16 homers and 92 RBI.
The Red Sox could be interested in signing an outfielder -- maybe more than one -- this offseason so Hunter's signing takes one potential option off the market.
