Kyle Draper and Donny Marshall discuss Paul Pierce's 27-point performance in the Celtics' first win. Marshall says Pierce will be one of the most important pieces to the Celtics defense.
Marshall said the Celtics' offensive inconsistency is "a product of not understanding who they are yet."
Saturday, Pierce "gets it going, kind of calms down a bit and then gets it going at the end," Marshall said.
Still, Marshall said, "It's not just about the offensive end. Paul is going to be the most important part of this defense. This league is a 6-7, 6-8, 6-9 league, average height. At that position, he's going to have the toughest struggles matchup-wise every single game...for Paul, he's going to have to bring it a both ends."
