Ortiz, Aceves appear headed to arbitration

WORCESTER -- General manager Ben Cherington said there's been little movement on the Red Sox' two salary arbitration cases -- DH David Ortiz and pitcher Alfredo Aceves.
"We're still talking and preparing,'' said Cherington, who appeared at a Red Sox Town Hall event at Worcester Technical High School Wednesday night.
Cherington continued to keep the hearing dates secret, but revealed that neither cases are set to be heard this week.
The Red Sox GM said that the club's baseball operations are currently working on the cases, and will utilize lawyers from both within and outside the organization to help.
Cherington said he himself will not present the case should it be heard, but will be present at the hearing.
