Gillette Stadium will have a few visitors Friday.
Both the Miami Dolphins and Green Bay Packers will be in Foxboro on Friday to interview New England Patriots linebackers coach/de facto defensive coordinator Brian Flores for their head coach openings, NFL Media's Ian Rapoport confirmed Friday morning.
According to the Miami Herald's Armando Salguero, the Dolphins' interaction with Flores actually started Thursday night as they search for Adam Gase's replacement.
As for Flores' two Saturday interviews, one was with the Denver Broncos, who met with the 37-year-old in the morning, according to 9News' Mike Klis. That interview in Providence has wrapped up, according to ESPN's Jeff Legwold.
That leaves the Cleveland Browns as the likely final team to interview Flores, as Cleveland recently requested to interview him, according to the Providence Journal's Mark Daniels.
Needless to say, the next 48 hours will be a busy stretch for Flores, whose Patriots have a first-round playoff bye.
One of New England's top assistants leaving for a head coach opening would be a major development, especially if he stays in the AFC East and joins Miami. The Dolphins do have a connection with the Patriots, as general manager Chris Grier's father, Bobby Grier, spent several years in the Patriots' organization during the 1990s. Grier spent six years with New England from 1994 to 1999.
Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels reportedly is interviewing with the Packers on Friday, as well.
