One of the biggest problems with the lockout: the first instinct for NHL players is to stand up those trying to bully them. They cant fight instinct in this fight against the NHL owners, and the Board of Governors should keep that in mind in trying to find a CBA solution.

Pat Lafontaine is still an optimist after all these years, and hopes to see the NHL before Christmas comes and goes.
