BOSTON -- Keyon Dooling made his return on Sunday after missing the previous nine games due to a right hip pointer injury.
With eight minutes and 36 seconds on the court, the veteran guard was happy to be back.
I felt good, he said following the Boston Celtics 95-91 win over the Chicago Bulls. It was a good start. I have to work my way back into the rotation so hopefully I can earn my minutes.

Dooling was 0-for-2 from the field with a pair of rebounds. He said that he felt great after the game and will continue with his treatment routine to stay healthy.
He suffered the hip pointer injury during the Celtics January 26 win over the Orlando Magic. It was his first game back from a sore right knee injury which had kept him sidelined for seven games prior to that.
Ill probably have to continue to treat it the whole year, he said of his hip. Im not the only one. Theres a lot of guys banged up, so Im not going to complain. Im out there, Im happy to be out there.
For Dooling, the best part of the game was simply being able to play with the Celtics.
Just being able to go to battle with my teammates, he said. Theres a lot of guys we have ailing and so Im one of the wounded soldiers right now thats going out there trying to perform.
Dooling has appeared in 11 games this season, averaging 6.0 points, 1.1 assists, and shooting 44.4 percent from the field.
