Celtics' Kyrie Irving leads all guards in 2019 NBA All-Star Game voting

Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is having a fantastic season, and basketball fans around the world are taking notice.

The NBA released Thursday the first results of 2019 NBA All-Star Game voting, and Irving leads all guards, including Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry.

Here's a breakdown of the voting tally so far.

Irving trails only Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo in voting overall.

C's forward Jayson Tatum ranks fifth in the voting among Eastern Conference frontcourt players, while teammates Gordon Hayward and Al Horford are ninth and 10th, respectively.

The 2019 NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 17 in Charlotte. Irving and Horford represented the Celtics at the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
