
ST. LOUIS -- One might have guessed that a challenge from a quality team like the Blues would draw an 'A' performance out of the Bruins, and it did. Their 4-2 victory Wednesday night was evidence.
Now the challenge is to sustain it for the last two games of their road trip.
The Bruins face the Sabres, who embarrassed them two weeks ago, at the First Niagara Center on Friday night,. Then, on Saturday, they take on the surging Senators, who suddenly nipping at their heels in the Northeast Division, in Ottawa.

Two wins would give the B's a 4-2-0 record on the road trip, which started with losses in two of the first three games. But they need to adhere to their rediscovered work ethic and blue-collar sensibilities.
Looking at the whole road trip, the game in St. Louis Wednesday night was probably the biggest challenge and we were able to step up and get it done," said Milan Lucic. "It was a good feeling. We talked about wanting to get that feeling back and starting to gain confidence again.
