On a scale of Chandler Jones’ “Shheeshhh” to Nerlens Noel’s “#WeStillGravy,” LeGarrette Blount’s Twitter reaction to the Jamie Collins was maybe a six. Or something. Honestly, it’s hard to tell what the scale is because it’s hard to know what exactly Noel’s tweet was.
Either way, the Patriots’ running back dropped an emoji-filled tweet expressing disappointment on Monday evening, seemingly directed at the team trading Collins to the Browns for a conditional draft pick earlier in the day.
Collins’ departure was widely met with confusion as to the return the Pats got. If the Browns receive a compensatory third-round pick in the 2017 draft, it will be sent to New England. If not, the Pats will get Cleveland’s fourth-rounder in 2018. The Pats are better off getting a 2018 fourth than a 2017 fourth since the team will lose its highest fourth-round pick in 2017 as part of its Deflategate penalty.
Blount and Collins were teammates for parts of all four of Collins’ seasons in New England.
