Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving put on a stellar performance in the first half of his team's Christmas Day game against the Philadelphia 76ers at TD Garden. 

The 26-year-old veteran dropped 23 points on 10-for-15 shooting (3-for-6 from 3-point range), along with five rebounds in 17 minutes. He scored 16 points on 7-for-10 shooting in the first quarter alone.

Here are some first-half highlights of Irving's red-hot half.

Irving has taken his performance to a new level after the C's had a team meeting following a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. He poured in 25 points on 9-for-13 shooting (4-for-6 from 3-point range) in a win over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night.

Irving entered Christmas Day with a team-leading 22.7 points and 6.4 assists per game.
